Performances & Recitals

At Mr. Marra's Music School and Studios, there are plenty of opportunities for live performances. From ice cream shop informal performances at The Lake Hiawatha Dairy, the outdoor Boonton Market or our formal recital at Leshowitz Recital Hall, students at our music school have ample and fun opportunities to showcase their talent.

Our next formal recital is on March 26th 2023 from 2-4pm at the Leshowitz Recital Hall, located in the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University.

Where is the Recital?

The recital will be held on campus at Montclair State University. The music building where the students will perform is called the John J. Cali School of Music. This building is located directly across the street from the Panzer Athletic Center.

What should I put in my GPS to get there?

To get to the parking area for the event, type in the Red Hawk Parking Garage to your GPS. This deck is located directly next to the Montclair State University Police Department, and is also attached to the Alexander Kasser Theater. This parking garage charges parking wages that are listed below. You will take a ticket as you enter the garage, and pay on your way out of the parking deck.

How do I get to the music building from the Parking Deck?

The Parking Deck has its most accessible exits located on the 2nd and 4th floors. Once you have exited, you will follow the road towards the right as it bends towards the John J Cali School of Music. Please view the videos below for a step by step walk through.

How do I get tickets for the recital?

All student performers will attend the recital for free. Every audience needs a ticket to enter the recital. Tickets are 10$ if purchased in advance, and they will be 15$ if purchased at the door.

Exiting the Parking Deck

This is a view of the campus after exiting the 2nd floor of the parking garage. To get to the music building, walk with the road as it bears right, and the music building will be on the left side of the road. The end of this video zooms in on the John J. Cali school of music.

Getting to the Recital Hall

After you have arrived at the music building, head up the steps of the main entrance and the Leshowitz Recital Hall is on your right.
